Do you believe in “saving the earth”? Sounds grand doesn’t it. It makes you feel like a super hero.
Don’t get me wrong here. Yes I do believe in keeping the environment clean and safe for everybody.
It has been proven, over and over that anthropological Global Warming or AGW is a scam. Do you still remember the polar bear perching on a small piece of ice.
Do you know that polar bears are exceptional swimmers?
Thankfully a lot have seen the light.
Yet, the ones that perpetrate the scam still tries to foist Earth hour on us. And the result is that we get block parties such as this:
In order to have that party, electrical generators have to be switched on. There’s free food, drinks and games.
It reminds me of a story.
Years ago, I was working in a large company. The company wanted to increase their profits as would any other companies. There was this particular director.
He went around the company switching off lights. His rationale was simple: cut electricity bills and profits will be up.
Isn’t that dumb? His a director. His job is to get more business to the company.
For the lights, he could just simply assign a cleaner to do it.
That’s the situation a lot of people are in. Switching off lights are not the answer.
Why not make generating electricity cheap to the point of free? And make it environment-friendly.
Yes, there is pollution in the world. Locally we take of care of our environment. Recycle or reuse. Have factories emit only environmentally safe waste products.
Stop consumerism. That’s a major activity that results in pollution.
Having a carbon trading system doesn’t help. Fortunately Canada quits Kyoto Protocol. It’s common sense
Unfortunately Singapore doesn’t posses common sense. We are continuously tax for water usage. I won’t be surprise that soon we will be paying a carbon tax.
It will probably be called Earth Conservation fees.
Not tax.
